Terms of service

Terms for using PopLocal.

These terms explain the basic rules for using PopLocal as a business, creator, or operator.

1. Service scope

PopLocal helps local businesses plan creator campaigns and helps creators apply for local opportunities. Campaign details, deliverables, fees, and usage rights should be confirmed in writing before a campaign starts.

2. Accounts and roles

Business accounts are used to manage subscriptions, profiles, visit offers, public schedules, creator visits, and post review. Creator accounts are used to apply for opportunities, maintain profile details, review matched campaigns, request visit times, and submit post links. Operator users manage reviews, matching, campaign setup, and support.

3. Business responsibilities

Businesses are responsible for accurate campaign information, safe creator experiences, correct visit addresses, availability, guest limits, and honouring agreed offers, payments, and booking arrangements.

4. Creator responsibilities

Creators are responsible for accurate profile information, meeting accepted deadlines, following disclosure rules, attending only confirmed visits, submitting post links after publishing, and only accepting campaigns they can complete.

5. Campaign terms

Campaign briefs should make the creator offer, guest limit, visit address, available timing, deliverables, disclosure expectations, content deadline, and post-link submission process clear. A creator visit request is not confirmed until PopLocal or the business confirms it.

6. Subscription, cancellation, and refunds

Monthly and quarterly plans are paid upfront. You can cancel before the next renewal; your plan remains active until the end of the paid billing period. We do not provide automatic prorated refunds after a billing period starts, except where required by law, for duplicate charges or billing errors, or where PopLocal approves a refund for a service failure.

7. Content, disclosure, and usage rights

Creators must make commercial content obviously identifiable, usually with Ad or #Ad, when they receive payment, free visits, gifts, service credits, or other rewards and the content is part of a PopLocal campaign. Organic repost rights, paid usage rights, whitelisting, and ad usage must be agreed before content is used outside the original post.

8. No guaranteed results

PopLocal can help manage creator matching, campaign operations, and post tracking, but we do not guarantee views, sales, bookings, follower growth, or other commercial outcomes.

9. Prohibited conduct and suspension

Users must not provide false information, misuse another user's data, harass creators or businesses, ignore safety or disclosure rules, or use PopLocal for unlawful activity. We may suspend or terminate access where needed to protect users, campaigns, or the platform.

10. Liability and governing law

PopLocal is provided as a managed campaign service and workspace. These terms should be governed by the laws of England and Wales unless a final legal review specifies otherwise.

11. Legal review

These terms are written as launch-ready product guidance and should be reviewed by a qualified UK legal professional before production launch.
