This privacy page explains the information PopLocal collects from businesses, creators, and operators to run local creator campaigns.

1. Who we are

PopLocal is a UK-focused local creator marketing platform for businesses, creators, and operators. For privacy questions, contact hello@poplocal.co.

2. Information we collect

Businesses may share account owner details, billing email, business profile details, campaign preferences, visit address, availability, creator offers, and social media links. Creators may share contact details, city, postcode or area, niches, platform handles, content examples, self-reported audience information, rates, availability, and preferences. We also collect login, payment, support, email delivery, and workspace activity records needed to operate the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to create accounts, review creator applications, match businesses and creators, plan campaigns, manage visit requests, track deliverables, send service emails, provide support, process subscriptions, prevent misuse, and improve PopLocal.

4. Lawful bases

We rely on contract where information is needed to provide PopLocal services, legitimate interests to review applications, match campaigns, improve the product, and prevent misuse, consent where required for optional marketing, and legal obligation where we must keep billing, tax, or compliance records.

5. Sharing and service providers

Operator users may review submitted information. Relevant business and creator details may be shared with the matched party when needed to plan or deliver a campaign. We use service providers including Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payment and billing, and Resend for transactional email. We may also share information where required by law or to protect PopLocal, users, or the public.

6. Automated matching

PopLocal may use profile, campaign, city, niche, availability, and performance signals to help operators identify suitable creator matches. Matching support does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects; operators can review and manage campaign assignments.

7. Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide PopLocal services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve campaign operations.

8. Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to how we use your information, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. 9. Security and transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. Some providers may process information outside the UK; where that happens, we expect appropriate transfer safeguards to be used.

10. Marketing communications

We may send service emails about accounts, payments, visits, campaigns, and support. We will only send optional marketing where permitted by law, and users can opt out of optional marketing messages.
